“Beautiful things come from art. A beautiful world is created through collaboration with our community.”
-Christine Carpenter

Liaise Studio is a Juneau-based art and design studio, seeking to work as a liaison between the community, the environment, and our creative practice. We are committed to building partnerships, using design and art as a tool to make the world a better place. Liaise Studio works with a variety of museums, non-profits, artists, and other community groups and businesses in Alaska and around the country.

Christine Carpenter, the founder and owner, has 10+ years experience working as an artist, designer, and project manager. As a designer, she defines her work as visual communication, consciously creating for the purpose of making our surroundings inspiring, creative, and beautiful. Christine lives in Juneau with her partner, Aaron, and their pup, Brio, and Christine’s feet are solidly planted in the community she has chosen to call home. She first fell in love with Juneau on the trails in and around our home, finding endless amounts of inspiration on her runs; but its the supportive and creative community in Juneau that keeps her here. While traveling the world is her favorite pastime, home will always be where the water meets the mountains in Southeast Alaska.

Christine currently sits on the board of Museums Alaska, and she previously sat on the board for the Alaska Design Forum. She holds a BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and an MFA in Museum Exhibition Planning and Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
