JUNEAU PARKS & TRAILS SIGNS
Corvus Design and Liaise Studio were awarded a contract to design a comprehensive package of the signs for the robust park and trail system maintained by the City & Borough of Juneau’s Parks & Recreation department. The client requested the signs be designed to withstand the year-round wind, rain, and snow, be able to be installed by the Parks & Recreation staff, and be flexible for the many different types of signs, information, and users to the parks and trails. The final product is a family of signs, made of high-pressure laminate to withstand the weather, mounted on unfinished cedar posts. A unique mesh feature on the park information signs allows CBJ to mount a variety of signs as needed.
