We are diving into the vibrant (and slightly magical) world of Summer Berry Ink-Making.
In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, we will explore the surprising chemistry hidden inside local wild berries. We’ll be working with the gorgeous coral-pinks of salmonberries, the deep purples of blueberries, and a seasonal wildcard berry straight from the summer patch.
What we’ll do:
Extract & Strain: Crush fresh/frozen berries and learn the secrets to a perfectly smooth, pen-ready ink.
Play Alchemist: Use simple kitchen modifiers to watch colors dramatically shift right before your eyes (think bright fuchsias, deep teals, and moody slate-grays!).
Bottle & Preserve: Formulate your ink with natural binders and essential oils.
Test & Swatch: Dip into your new inks with calligraphy pens and brushes.
You’ll walk away with a custom set of wild berry inks bottled up and ready for your next creative project, along with a recipe guide to keep making magic at home.
