BEFORE ME
In the summer of 2021, Liaise was hired to assist in the cover art and website production and design for a new podcast, Before Me. Lisa Phu, the writer and producer of the podcast, worked closely with Christine to visually communicate the story she passionately tells in her work—the story of her mother’s past fleeing the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Digitally combining Lisa’s family photos and Christine’s drawings, the final cover art image is modern and simple, while nodding to the past.
Christine also designed a new website (beforemepodcast.com) as a listening platform for Before Me’s episodes once it is live. This website was designed to match the aesthetic of the cover art, while remaining simple and easy to use.
